Day 01: Arrive Cochin
On arrival at Cochin airport and you will be taken to your hotel. Cochin perfectly reflects
eclecticism of Kerala. Cochin has a rich cultural history, but it is also one of the most modern cities of India. One of the best natural harbors in the world and a major port of India. The city has strong, palaces, museums, churches, rivers, lagoons but at the same time, it is a modern city.
Evening witness a Kathakali dance performance at the theater. Kathakali is a dance that displays the works of India's epic (Ramayana and Mahabharata). The dancers are dressed in many colors and details. Their faces painted to represent the heroes of the works.
Day 02: Cochin
Morning sightseeing tour of Cochin visiting Jewish synagogue – the oldest synagogue in the entire commonwealth, St. Francis Church, St. Mary’s Cathedral, Cochin Harbor, Terminus, Chinese Fishing Nets, Mattancherry Dutch Palace built by the Portuguese is known for its murals depicting scenes from the Ramayana and the Mahabharata and dresses and palanquins used by Cochin’s erstwhile rulers.
Spend rest of the day at leisure.

Day 03: Cochin - Munnar (135 kms)
Morning after breakfast drive to Munnar. Munnar -- with miles of tea plantations, mountains, plants and exotic animals in their forests and reserves, and the smell of spices in the fresh air, is a unique place in the world. Its beauty, its peace, tranquility make this town the perfect destination for any traveler. Situated at the confluence of 3 mountain streams - Mudrapauzha, Nallathanni and Kundala, at the height of 6000 ft in Idukki region. Munnar was the preferred destination of the English during the summers of the colonial era. On arrival in Munnar, check into hotel. Spend rest of the day at leisure.
Day 04: Munnar
Morning after breakfast spend full day at leisure visiting, Spice plantation, Tea Garden, MettupettyDam - surrounded by tall hills and forest. Optionally you can also visit the Eravikulam National Park which is located around 16 kms from Munnar where you can see the endangered Nilgiri Tahr (ibex).

Day 05 - Drive Munnar - Periyar (125 kms / 03 hrs)
After an early breakfast drive to Periyar. Periyar is South India’s most
popular wildlife sanctuary created by British. Located in the Idukki region, Periyar (Thekkady) is known as one of the best places to see elephants in Asia. The park is covered with forests and various habitats allow the existence of a large variety of flora and fauna. In the animal reserve, there are elephants, deer, leopards, bison, wild dogs etc. The drive to this hilltop wildlife sanctuary is one of the most beautiful ones. On arrival in Periyar, check into hotel. Spend rest of the day at leisure exploring on your own.

Day 06 : Periyar
Morning after breakfast visit of spice plantation. The area is famous for coffee, tea, and the plant in Asia.
Enjoy evening boat ride on Lake Periyar. All activities of the reserve is concentrated around the lake. There are nearly 700 elephants in the region, most often around the lake.

Day 07 - Drive Periyar - Kumarakom (185 kms / 04 hrs)
After breakfast start your journey for Kumarakom. The drive is a wonderful experience passing through the backwater and plantations. Seeing Kumarakom, it becomes very clear why Kerala is called the "Land of God." This charming village is made up of several towns on Lake Vembanad, a paradise for birdwatchers. With its mangroves so beautiful, its clear waters, its emerald fields, its canals lined with coconut palms and white lilies, the village is the perfect place for a few days of vacation. You can explore the bird sanctuary, walking on the canals, or fishing. On arrival In Kumarakom, check into hotel. Spend rest of the day at leisure.

Day 09 - Transfer Kumarakom - Houseboat Jetty
Morning at leisure, later in time transfer to the embankment point to board the houseboat, which is one of the highlights of any trip to Kerala. It’s once a lifetime impression to have such a romantic and beautiful experience. Browsing through villages built on narrow pieces of land, stopping to visit local markets, or to watch craftsmen busy with their previous work to build boats. Time spend on the houseboat passing through the Backwaters of Kerala. Here your houseboat crew will prepare delicious Keralian meals from freshly brought vegetables from the market.

Day 10 - Drive Houseboat - Kovalam (165 kms / 04 hrs)
Disembark houseboat at Alleppey and drive to Kovalam. Few years ago this place was famous among hippies but today this area is the focus of a multimillion dollar business drawing thousand of tourist. On arrival in Kovalam, check into hotel. Spend rest of the day relaxing on the beaches.
