  • Municipal Garden

It isn’t a lie that Mussoorie is easily the best destination for the whole family picnics. The Municipal Garden located 4km outside town is a magical spot to relax and admire the beauty of nature. Visiting the highest peak of this famous hill station, there’s a lot to do, including catching a glimpse of the magnificent greenery down below.   • Jabarkhet Nature Reserve

A perfect excuse to fall in love with nature, this reserve is the first of its kind in the whole of Uttarakhand state. It is the brainchild of two geniuses: Sejal Worah – a conservationist, and Vipul Jain – the landowner. It sits on a 110-acre piece of land, and much as the reserve is breathtaking, everything about it is privately operated.

It was opened in 2015, but has managed to charm and dazzle its visitors to date. For lovers and honeymooners, walking in the woods of this reserve, picking the flowers along the trails, is just about the best way to rejuvenate love. The entrance fee is only 350 Rupees on solo strolls and 500 Rupees if accompanied by an expert guide. The management also offers private and bespoke walks, which also include overnight treks and village visits.

  • Camel’s Back Road

Hiking isn’t the only way to experience the adventure that Mussoorie is known for. Horse riding along the 3 km stretch from Kulri Bazar near Rink Hall to Library Bazar on a calm afternoon is enough to create lifelong memories of the trip. Camel’s Back Rock is less chaotic and far clearer for a lazy horse ride.

  • Jharipani Falls

About 9 km from Mussoorie, on the Mussoorie-Jharipani road, is an enchanting Jharipani Falls whose water cascade down with vigor to form a mesmerizing backdrop.   • Kempty Falls

There’s also a beautiful golden Buddha statue and a Tibetan school where they let their kids learn their nature culture and traditions away from home. This community is just 45 minutes on a taxi from the Library end of the Mall Road.

  • Sir George Everest House
